TalkedAbout is a small independent software company. We measure how businesses appear when customers ask AI assistants — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok — for recommendations, and we deliver that measurement as a plain-English report.
The work is deliberately narrow. We ask each AI platform the questions a real customer would ask about a business's category and city, record every answer verbatim, score how often the business is recommended, note which competitors are recommended instead, and check the technical signals that determine whether AI systems can read the business's website at all. The output is a 14-page PDF and, for subscribers, a fresh version each month. There is no dashboard to learn and no sales call.
Large brands have teams watching how AI describes them. Independent local businesses — dental practices, law firms, contractors, clinics — generally have no idea whether they appear in these answers, and the answers only ever name a handful of businesses. We built the measurement layer for the people who don't have one.
We run outbound email to businesses we have scanned, from the domains trytalkedabout.com and talkedabouthq.com, signed by Sam. Every message includes our postal address and a one-click unsubscribe, and one reply asking us to stop is permanent and immediate. We never buy contact lists — addresses come from businesses' own public websites. If you would rather not hear from us, reply "unsubscribe" to any message or email sam@trytalkedabout.com and you will be removed on receipt.
